Gower College Route H Changes (Updated 20th November 2024)

Due to increasingly common and unpredictable delays on Tycoch Road near Tycoch Campus, there will be changes to Route H to/from Gower College Swansea (Gorseinon Campus) from Monday 18th November.

Route H will be separated into 2 parts, merging with Route R and Route L respectively.
There will no longer be a route known as ‘H’.

Update on 20th November: Route L will now drop off students opposite the Tycoch Premier Shop and at Tycoch Square outside the Co-op, but on the PM return journey only.

Dunvant and Killay Students
These students should now catch Route R which will pick up at bus stops on the opposite side of the road to where they board currently. This is because the bus will be coming from Sketty and heading towards the Dunvant direction. Please see the links at the bottom of this page to see the new Route R times through Dunvant and Killay.

Waunarlwydd and Gowerton Students
These students should now catch Route L which will be routed through Waunarlwydd and Gowerton, directly replacing this section of Route H. There will be no change to pick up points or times.

Tycoch Students (Glan-yr-Afon Road, Tycoch Square, Premier Shop, Tycoch Campus)
Unfortunately, there will not be a direct replacement to these stops in the morning. To do so would move the same delays and unpredictability to the replacement bus route. However, Route L will drop off students opposite the Tycoch Premier Shop and at Tycoch Square outside the Co-op on the PM return journey only.

These students should move to Route L (Tycoch College, Vivian Road Bus Stop) or Route R (Top of Sketty Park Road, or Glan-yr-Afon Gardens Bus Stop on Gower Road) depending on preference and convenience. We realise this is not ideal for students living in Tycoch, but unfortunately it is the only workable solution.
